Floating to My Demise

This work was the first one in the series of Oceans in Peril. The entangled piece of garbage was picked off the beach in Celestun, Mexico, a relatively clean beach. I was so intrigued by this piece, and wondered where it came from, that it prompted me to pick up more. Most I disposed of, but some I kept thinking that maybe I could incorporate these pieces into my art. This work was juried into the International Society of Experimental Artists 2020 Members Show.
